Traffic Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government’s travel information service, is advising fans to plan their journey well ahead of the Wales V England RBS Six Nations rugby match.
Kick-off at the Millennium Stadium is 5.30pm on Saturday, March 17th, 2007. Most routes to Cardiff are expected to be very busy so one of the best ways to check road conditions and incidents is by logging-on and registering with this website. Click here to go back to register on the home page www.traffic-wales.com.
Those who register with this site can also get SMS travel alerts on their mobile phone and also check the road conditions along the M4 motorway and main trunk roads from our regularly-updated CCTV cameras. Our control room Operators are also on hand to take calls on the Traffic Wales information telephone hotline on 0845 6026020.
Simon Jones of Traffic Wales, said: "My advice to fans is to plan your journey and leave yourselves plenty of travelling time. One way to do this is to log onto and register with our website. Don’t forget to call our 0845 number if you need one-to-one travel advice from our Operators as they monitor the traffic and can also view what conditions are like through our Traffic Wales CCTV cameras.
He concluded: "Please could motorists also tune into local radio stations for Traffic Wales updates and follow the appropriate Park and Ride signs on the motorway as they are specially designated for supporters."
