Fans are being advised by Traffic Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government’s traffic and travel information service, to plan their journey and leave themselves plenty of time travelling to the Wales v Republic of Ireland football match this weekend.
Kick-off is 3pm on Saturday afternoon (November 17th) at the Millennium Stadium - and although it is Wales’ final home qualifying match for the 2008 UEFA Euro 2008 tournament, the roads leading into Cardiff are expected to be very busy.
Signposted Park and Ride services organised by Cardiff Council will be available and motorists should use these when and where possible.
Further travel updates are available via Traffic Wales through radio stations and TV and also through this website where users can register for free email and SMS mobile text alerts.
Operators inside the Traffic Wales Control room will also be available to offer the latest travel advice on 0845 602 602 0 (local rates apply).
