Prince William Cup travel advice

23 Nov 2007

We are advising rugby fans to leave themselves plenty of travel time before they set out for the inaugural Prince William Cup rugby test match this Saturday (November 24th).

Kick-off at the Millennium Stadium between Wales and the recently-crowned World Cup Champions South Africa is at 2.45pm.

With thousands of people travelling to Cardiff to soak up the international atmosphere, we would advise fans to make their journey stress-free by using several options.

  • Leave yourselves plenty of time to travel to the city as the roads are expected to be very busy
  • Use public transport when and where possible and if you have to travel by car or coach then please use the signposted Cardiff Council Park and Ride sites.
  • Listen to local radio stations for up-to-the-minute travel advice

We also offer a number of services designed to keep motorists informed of the latest travel conditions. This website offers free email and SMS mobile text alerts to those who register online.

Our Traffic Wales Control Room Operators are also on hand  - not just for the match - but 365-days-a-year to offer one-to-one travel advice and information on 0845 602 602 0 (local rates apply).
