Traffic Wales is warning motorists to be careful out on the roads as the Met Office has forecast more wintry weather conditions over the next few days.
Heavy rain and gales are already affecting most parts of Wales today (Friday, January 31st) with snow expected to fall across high ground.
Traffic Wales is advising drivers to adjust their driving to suit the wintry weather conditions by checking what the roads are like before setting out on a journey and leaving themselves plenty of travel time between departure and arrival.
One of the best ways to check the weather and travel conditions on routes such as the M4, A470 and A55, is to register with this site.
By doing this, you will be able to access the Traffic Wales CCTV cameras along their route and also sign up for free mobile SMS and email text alerts.
Alternatively, motorists can call our Traffic Wales operators for live updates from the heart of our control rooms. The number is 0845 602 602 0 (local rates apply).
Drivers are also advised to tune into local radio stations who broadcast travel updates every 15 minutes live from the Traffic Wales control room.
