Traffic Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government’s traffic and travel information service, is advising rugby fans to leave themselves plenty of travel time before they set out for the EDF Energy Cup semi-final matches this Saturday (March 22nd).
Both semi-final matches take place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff throughout the day.
Kick-off for the first game is at 2.30pm between Leicester Tigers v London Wasps, while the second game between Saracens v Ospreys starts at 5.15pm.
Thousands of people are expected to travel to the city to soak up the atmosphere, so Traffic Wales is advising fans make their journey stress-free by using several options.
- Leave yourselves plenty of time to travel to Cardiff as the roads are expected to be very busy
- Use public transport when and where possible and if you have to travel by car or coach then please use the signposted Cardiff Council Park and Ride sites.
- Listen to local radio stations for up-to-the-minute travel advice
Traffic Wales also offers a number of services designed to keep motorists informed of the latest travel conditions. These include the www.traffic-wales.com website where users can register for free email and SMS mobile text alerts.
