Traffic Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government’s traffic information service has advised that Rhosmaen Street in Llandeilo will be closed while substantial street works are undertaken. The works are due to commence on the 7th April 2008 and will take approximately four weeks to complete subject to weather conditions.
Rhosmaen Street is being closed for the replacement of services under the carriageway, due to the narrowness of this street and safety requirements it is essential for this road to be closed while the work is carried out. Local diversions will be in place for light vehicles but HGV’s are advised to take an alternative route via the A48 and A40. Delays are likely and drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
A number of local businesses are also utilising this closure period to refurbish property fronts which would have been difficult during the road being open. All businesses will remain open and accessible for customers at all times while these works are undertaken.
